We have three principal brands: A wedding production studio called OpenBox Events that provides photography, videography, and DJ services to brides and grooms across the state; OpenBox Strategies, a video production company that will be the focus of this person’s time and efforts and centers on traditional corporate work; and Falling Action Film Company, a clearinghouse for creative and artistic projects.

The OpenBox Creative Sales Manager will sell our production services to target customers and businesses who use videos as part of a broader branding or marketing strategy.  Our most successful clients are organizations who leverage video to recruit talent, market products and services, and elevate their brand through narrative film. OpenBox also white labels its work for larger full-service agencies. A successful candidate will have agency or account management experience and an established reputation of translating business objectives into creative development.

  • Build new and maintain existing account relationships.
  • Understand client’s objectives and work with the Creative Director to build creative briefs that outline production steps in support of those objectives.
  • In a COVID-Dominated world, proficiency at the ability to do this remotely, and leveraging an existing network, is more important now than ever. 
  • Function as point-of-contact for both the Creative Director (internal) and client (external) during the complete production process.
  • Proactively pursue new leads and sales opportunities.
  • Meet quarterly sales goals.
  • Develop and job-cost production contracts and agreements.
  • Oversee a marketing budget and work with the production team to create effective content that elevates the company brand and helps drive sales.
  • Established experience in a sales role, preferably in the creative space.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially writing and speaking.
  • Ability to balance multiple accounts effectively without leaving anyone feeling forgotten.
  • Ability to balance client needs with production realities.
  • Proficiency in G-Suite software (Google Docs, Sheets) and Mac environments.
  • Problem-solving and compassion to help clients meet goals.
  • Basic understanding of production workflow is encouraged.
  • Salary commensurate with experience plus bonuses for sales goals.
