Position Summary:

The Segment Marketing Manager for Shorr Packaging is responsible for providing marketing leadership and support to drive sales growth in Shorr’s targeted horizontal and vertical market segments. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, this position requires tight interaction and collaboration with Segment Business Directors, Sales & Account Managers, Customer Service, and Customers to ensure that all marketing content and messaging is relevant, consistent with Shorr’s branding and strong.

Responsibilities:

What you’ll work on:

  • Execution of the annual marketing action plan for designated growth segments to include evolving market needs, competitive assessment and forecasting of trends, as well as defining campaign and communication initiatives and their respective ROI 
  • Leverage best practices and develop innovative programs to create awareness, drive leads, acquire new customers, increase product adoption and expand awareness of Shorr solutions 
  • Design, implement, and facilitate a marketing plan for the market segment that will enhance Shorr’s image and position within the marketplace 
  • Build, launch and report on Marketing Communications and Marketing campaigns aligned with segment business strategy and tactics 
  • Measure and report performance of marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs), competitors’ marketing efforts 
  • Support Sales in meeting or exceeding the market or specific segment revenue and profit targets

What you'll bring to Shorr Packaging:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, business, or related field with at least 6+ years of marketing communications/writing experience required 
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with colleagues at various levels of the organization in a fast-paced environment, while remaining dynamic, proactive and resourceful, with high levels of professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail, are all crucial to this role 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, teamwork and collaboration skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong MS Office skills including PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and Word, and experience with web-based platforms for relationship management Salesforce.com, LinkedIn 
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing a Marketing Plan 
  • Excellent integrator and negotiator, results oriented 
  • Ability to work with & influence people without formal authority 
  • Excellent presentation skills to all levels of decision makers 
  • Excellent communicator of “value proposition” to potential clients
