As a Senior Account Executive (SAE) you will be responsible for the planning and implementation of B2B marketing and communications programs on our technology team working with manufacturing, industrial and enterprise software companies. You’ll work on 2-3 accounts and will help manage work executed by account executives, assistant account executives and interns. This position will work closely with clients, take a more advanced role in the preparation of communication plans, and is expected to consistently deliver superior results.
We’re looking for someone who has a love of writing, telling complex stories and bringing them to life through paid, earned, shared and owned communications channels.
An SAE demonstrates a willingness to handle work that falls outside of the official job description, when necessary, including aspects of the AE and AAE positions or temporary assignments involving other accounts.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Working on 2-4 account teams with 2-4 colleagues
- Participating in and leading client meetings, manage project timelines and budgets
- Developing and executing marketing communications programs for technology and manufacturing clients to help them build, grow and protect their brands
- Developing and implementing key messages into client programs
- Developing B2B marketing content for clients including the writing of e-books, bylined articles for media, blogs, social media content, news releases, sales enablement tools, news releases and more.
- Creating the content strategy and amplification plan
- Demonstrating above-average teamwork and relationship-building skills, along with client counseling and client leadership skills
- Managing and executing media relations programs, including strategy and story development, prioritizing target media, facilitating media briefings, developing talking points and briefing notes for spokespeople and reporting on results
- Digging into industry issues and trends that impact our clients’ business to provide them with insights and recommendations for their programs
- Coaching and mentoring interns, AAEs and/or AEs about the craft of communication and about your clients’ business/industry
- Monitoring the latest trends in earned, owned, paid and shared media and how to effectively use them to achieve client objectives
- Supporting Padilla business development efforts through marketing programs, networking, identifying prospective clients and supporting new business opportunities
- Understanding the monthly pro forma billing process and liaise with accounting to ensure timely completion
- Participating in a marketing/communication professional organization and/or a client industry trade organization and attend functions staged by these groups for the purpose of professional skills/knowledge development, company promotion and new business prospecting for Padilla
- Manage-up: Making sure your supervisors are doing their part so that your needs are being met and you are being supported in delivering upon your obligations to clients, colleagues, the media, business partners, etc.
- Traveling, as needed, for client meetings and/or media/special events
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
