Twin Cities public relations agency Bellmont Partners, winner of multiple “Best Places to Work” awards, is seeking a new Senior Account Executive to add to our growing team. We’re looking for a strong B2B communicator with approximately four to eight years of experience who is passionate about partnering with clients in the technology, manufacturing, professional services sectors and/or healthcare sectors to tell their stories in a variety of ways.

The Senior Account Executive position at Bellmont Partners is a key role in the areas of implementation, strategic planning, client communications. Senior Account Executives are critical implementers at the agency, working closely with account leads to help turn strategy into reality by confidently developing materials and recommendations. Senior Account Executives may also take an account lead role on small to mid-sized clients or co-lead large client accounts, and they also contribute to business development efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Day-to-day responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Client and Account Team Support and Leadership – 75%

  • Serve as the right-hand person to account leads on two to three large B2B accounts and several small to mid-size clients in industries including technology, manufacturing, professional services and/or healthcare, helping drive the implementation of deliverables in a timely, strategic manner 
  • Develop and implement deliverables that are high-quality and on-strategy for accounts of all sizes; draft and finalize materials in areas including earned media (e.g., media pitches, news releases, media kit materials, etc.), thought leadership (e.g., bylined articles, award and speaking nominations, etc.), owned media (e.g., social media posts, website copy, blog posts, newsletter copy, marketing collateral, etc.) and occasionally paid media (e.g., ad copy or scripts, paid social media posts, sponsored articles, etc.); help lead and coordinate special events (e.g., trade shows, client events, etc.) 
  • With support and coaching from senior team members, develop account leadership skills by co-leading select accounts and/or by leading one or more small to mid-size accounts; develop strategy, lead/co-lead internal and external meetings as needed, make assignments to internal teams, communicate progress and ideas to clients, offer day-to-day support to clients and internal teams, help troubleshoot any challenges and drive results that align with client objectives 
  • Help coach junior team members on their activities and deliverables 

Business Development – 10%

  • Help identify opportunities for organic client growth by understanding clients’ strategies and needs, and working with account leads and senior leadership to recommend additional activities accordingly 
  • Help identify and nurture new leads from prospect to proposal to a closed deal 
  • Assist in new business efforts, including helping maintain information in internal files and databases, conducting research on new prospects, drafting case studies, and participating in internal new business brainstorms 
  • With support and coaching from senior team members, contribute to or lead efforts to develop new business proposals and decks Participate in new business meetings or presentations with prospects Work to establish, maintain and expand professional network

Professional Development/Operations/Administrative/Paid Volunteer Time – 15%

  • Work with manager to establish individual professional development goals that align with the agency’s overall annual goals and objectives and your areas of interest; make consistent progress toward goals through professional development events and resources, seeking out additional projects to flex new skills 
  • Participate in staff meetings, one-on-one check-ins with manager, and other agency meetings and events 
  • Complete personal administrative tasks in a timely manner, including weekly time entry, monthly expense reports, etc. 
  • If interested, seek out volunteer opportunities that align with personal and professional goals and areas of interest, using Bellmont Gives Back hours (paid volunteer time)
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Approximately four to eight years of experience, ideally with B2B communications experience in the technology, manufacturing, professional services and/or healthcare industries 
  • Strong writing skills, with the ability to translate technical language to easily digestible copy
  • Based in or able to relocate to Minnesota
