As the Nation continues to come to terms with the long-term effects of climate change, this work is of ever- increasingimportance.

Ogilvy seeks a highly driven, passionate Senior Account Executive with a background in community engagement and/or communications to join this team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a federal agency encompassing a network of risk communications, emergency management, community outreach, partnership building, community planning, and engineering experts to engage a broad array of national and local stakeholders around the issues of natural disaster mitigation, climate change adaptation, and capacity building to empower communities to drive resilience. This unique program functions on national, regional, and community levels, and is extremely dynamic with a large team and many moving parts.

What You’ll Do

  • Key day-to-day project contact with clients, creative teams, and other agency partners 
  • Managing client objectives, expectations and timelines and communicating changes/directions to internal team members 
  • Mobilizing and driving the integrated team towards progress and completion of all scoped deliverables 
  • Understanding staffing and scoping requirements 
  • Owning project management/workflow system data entry and reporting 
  • Identifying potential project risks and developing contingency plans 
  • Researching, writing, and overseeing the development of communications campaign materials including guides, presentations, videos, web copy, social media, toolkits, and more 
  • Planning and executing large-scale events, including community consultations, virtual meetings, and conferences 
  • Assisting in media relations efforts and partnership outreach 
  • Participating in the agency's new business and proposal efforts, as requested by leadership

What You’ll Need

  • Interest in and knowledge of climate change resilience and/or hazard mitigation at the local, state, or federal level 
  • Familiarity with or interest in equity-centered approaches to community engagement and program delivery 
  • 3+ years of related, client facing industry experience managing “the making” or delivery of great work 
  • Account experience delivering programs in public relations, marketing, or communications with background in digital and social media, materials development, media relations, and partnership outreach 
  • Ability to work with and manage sub-contractors and vendor relationships 
  • Ability to think strategically about issues and message development
