ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our business analysts / product owners don’t just ask what a client wants. They ask “what if we did it this way?” They’re big-picture thinkers. Strategic problem-solvers. Savvy team players with a passion for the process of software design and development. And we’re looking for a standout candidate to join them.

As a senior business analyst with The Mx Group, you’ll serve as the primary point of contact for our clients and help them shape and plan digital projects. You will work closely with senior members of clients’ leadership teams, learn from them about their business and the challenges they face, and collaborate with them to design new processes and tools to overcome those challenges. You’ll lead the development of brand-new applications as well as updates to existing systems. You’ll oversee the full lifecycle of development projects, keeping them on-scope and on-budget. Working with an experienced, cross functional team of software developers and analysts, you’ll produce applications our diverse client base — and their customers — can’t do without.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • 8+ years of software experience, including at least 5 years in a business analyst, product manager, product owner or similar role 
  • Experience leading the design and delivery of complex software products; B2B and/or e-commerce experience is a plus 
  • Ability to think beyond gathering requirements to design / improve processes 
  • Experience facilitating client workshops 
  • Experience with project scoping and estimation 
  • Outstanding critical thinking skills 
  • Excellent client-facing skills; comfortable working closely with senior executives 
  • An inquisitive, rationally opinionated, problem-solving nature 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Agile experience is preferred
