Continental Properties is looking for a Senior Communications and Public Relations Specialist to join our team of dedicated professionals at our home office in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.

You will plan and execute communications strategies to lead positive brand reputation and thought leadership for Continental Properties and its brands. You will write press/news releases, advertising copy, and earned media opportunities that strengthens our customer perception.

The Senior Communications and PR Specialist is part of the Marketing Team and reports to the Marketing Director and is also an important collaborator with several teams across the company, most notably Community Operations, Investor Relations, HR, and the Executive Office.

We are embracing a hybrid working environment and you can work both in the office and remote.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and edit content including press releases, marketing literature including social media, and customer-facing materials 
  • Build partnerships throughout the organization to promote visibility on company projects, accomplishments, and announcements. 
  • Define scope, budgets, and timelines for marketing communications projects with important partners 
  • Lead public relations projects, including media relations and outreach, by working with local and national media to enhance customer awareness and perception of Continental Properties and our multifamily brands 
  • Develop PR Reporting and Key Performance Indicators to measure the effectiveness and success of communications efforts 
  • Draft customer and media statements, including crisis communications. 

Skills for Success:

  • Bachelor's Degree in communications, journalism, English, public relations, marketing or related field or equivalent experience required 
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in public relations or communications required
