BASIC FUNCTION:

HCSC is looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic communications professional who is guided by excellence to join its Corporate Communication team!

This position is responsible for developing and executing a broad range of critical communications to multiple internal audiences through engagement and close partnership with clients and management at all levels of the organization; will draft, edit and supervise the production of communications to include print, web, etc. Incumbent will also act as a mentor to other team members and an exemplar to colleagues across the organization.

This role is hybrid/flex and requires being in the office three days per week, working from home the other two. NOTE: Relocation will not be extended; sponsorship is not available either now or in the future.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years’ experience in copy development, editing and print project management OR 11 years’ experience in copy development, editing and print project management. 
  • Knowledge and judgment of design, print production and fulfillment processes. 
  • Leadership skills to mentor staff, handle escalated issues and assist management. 
  • Project management experience and skills to lead projects and handle multiple projects with shifting deadlines simultaneously. 
  • Work well under pressure with short deadlines. 
  • Verbal and written communications skills to interact with clients with confidence, develop an array of communications to various audiences, and influence the decision making process. 
  • Verbal communications skills to handle sensitive, confidential information and handle department issues with appropriateness and sensitivity while influencing positive outcomes.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or Communications 
  • Expert in AP Style 
  • On-camera experience 
  • Experience navigating large organizations
