Responsible for creating and editing corporate written communications and publications, as well as interacting with external stakeholders, to ensure that all departments and corporate functions are broadcasting a consistent and accurate company message, which will enhance the visibility and perception of the company’s products and services with various audiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES: (include but are not limited to)

  • Works within the Marketing Team to write copy and create written content that maintains a consistent message of the company brand, in both style and substance, across all business units and departments. 
  • Gathers, writes, edits, maintains and otherwise creates content for all corporate communications, including but not limited to: company websites, digital signage, brochures, advertisements, presentations, speeches, award submissions, advertising, large proposals, company video scripts, white papers and press releases. 
  • Assists others with written communications and presentations by either writing content or editing materials. 
  • Prepare and write content for executive and senior level staff for speaking opportunities, press conferences, panel discussions and other public speaking events 
  • Ensures written communications and presentations provide the intended message and use accurate and approved facts, data points or anecdotes. 
  • Actively develops and maintains content for all corporate Websites, ensuring that all material is current and accurate, new projects and initiatives are properly represented and the overall effectiveness of the site is secure. 
  • Works with the Graphic Designer to maintain our brand and message by creating and editing copy and then double checking the final product for accuracy.
  • Interfaces with key external stakeholders on behalf of the company including the media, investors, the government, the public and others. 
  • Assists in the management and coordination of all media communications and media relations including drafting press releases, monitoring of press comments/articles and coordinating meetings/contact between CenterPoint employees and relevant journalists. 
  • Develops and maintains press kits and other promotional materials for distribution. 
  • Assists various departments with their writing, communications and PR needs. 
  • Pursue self-development training as directed by Marketing Director. 
  • Comply with all company processes and procedures. 
  • Completes other duties as assigned by Marketing Director.


  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or similar field required 
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in professional writing capacity, creating copy, corporate communications and public relations duties, demonstrating: a) Strong ability to create and edit copy according to voice of the company/brand, b) Highly organized and detail oriented, ability to execute public relations plan under tight deadlines, and c) Strong oral and presentation skills 
  • Previous real estate experience a plus 
  • Exceptional writing and grammatical skills required (provide written samples) 
  • Sensitivity to the needs, pressures and demands of others 
  • Flexible with respect to work schedule, willingness to jump in where needed 
  • Ability to travel approximately 20-25% or when needed 
  • Strong technical skills with standard industry computer software 
  • Experience and ability to work both independently and as part of a team 
  • Possess a customer service mentality, business acumen and attention to detail 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at any given time 
  • Ability to manage elevated stress levels periodically; can work under an active and intense environment
