Senior Communications Specialist

Reporting to the director, communications Global Industrial, the senior communications specialist is a key member of the Global Industrial communications team at Ecolab.

This role focuses on developing and managing internal communications strategies and programs to engage and align associates around Industrial’s strategic priorities and change initiatives. This includes the development of compelling and creative content and driving exposure through strategic utilization, management and innovation of employee-facing digital channels.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop communications strategies and plans (with a strong focus on digital transformation and change initiatives) 
  • Ensure timely and effective execution of internal communications strategies and plans across various platforms and employee-facing digital channels 
  • Create compelling, on-message and brand-compliant written and visual content for internal, and sometimes, external channels 
  • Collaborate with key internal and external partners on communications initiatives and campaigns 
  • Support channel innovation and management (including editing and publishing content), content planning and process improvements 
  • Assist with special project communications as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or related field 
  • 5+ years of communications experience 
  • Exceptional writing, editing and presentation skills, with knowledge of AP style 
  • Experience in creative content creation in a variety of formats and making content stand out through innovative channel strategies 
  • Hands-on experience with email tools and content management systems 
  • Highly organized and detail oriented, with strong project management capabilities 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary team 
  • Flexible and adaptive skill set with a willingness to learn new tools and technologies 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities 
  • No immigration sponsorship available

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agency experience 
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and digital/mobile platforms 
  • Experience working with different regions and time zones
