Position Summary:

Gallagher's Global Brokerage Division is looking for a Senior Communications Specialist who will support our change management communications along with division-wide intranet and app content development design and implementation needs. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Strategic Initiatives & Communications, you will provide communications support for various projects and initiatives. You will develop and deliver high quality internal communication assets including newsletters, corporate emails, presentations and various templates in a face-paced environment.

How will I affect the business?

  • Develop cross functional communication plans 
  • Coordinate and collect feedback for multifaceted projects (including surveys) 
  • Write, edit, coordinate, publish and update content for internal SharePoint sites 
  • Execute key projects and Division communications, including soliciting, writing and editing stories for newsletters, taking photos, and coordinating layouts and designs 
  • Ensure standard communication documentation and templates are crafted and stored in an organized way (e.g. SharePoint and/or shared drive); creating an ‘ease of use’ framework 
  • Film videos and/or work with design group to develop creative elements to support communications or change projects as needed 
  • Format/package and organize assets prior to delivery to clients 
  • Ensure all communication deliverables are in alignment with Gallagher Branding guidelines 
  • Work with Communications Leadership team to pursue initiatives that will improve internal communications, boost employee morale, and support company culture, while also building company's external brand

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 4 years related experience required. 
  • Able to use computer and internet navigation. 
  • Competent photographer.

Nice to Have:

  • 3 years proven experience in communication writing, development, planning and editing of content 
  • Proficient in the development of SharePoint web content, website management and site planning 
  • HTML understanding preferred 
  • Proficient in using MS Office applications with key strengths in PowerPoint, Visio, and Project 
  • Strong consulting and analytical skills with the ability to assess business and human performance goals and gaps using both qualitative and quantitative factors 
  • Prior experience in the financial services or insurance brokerage industry is a plus
