As a Senior Communications Specialist, you will create and coordinate company communications, including internal/external communications targeted at engaging and inspiring team around business goals and the company’s mission and aspiration. An individual in this role will be responsible for supporting the communications plans and priorities and gathering and reporting on metrics to show engagement and reach of specific vehicle or campaigns. This role will specifically support the OptumHealth business and will join a team of internal/external communications professionals who collectively advance the mission of the organization.

Working Schedule:

This is a full-time position with standard working hours of Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm. Our office is located at 11000 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie MN 55344.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Generally, work is self-directed and not prescribed 
• Works with less structured, more complex issues 
• Serves as a resource to others

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree, OR a High School Diploma/GED + 7 years of professional experience in a business/corporate setting 
• 5 years business/corporate communications experience 
• 5 years project management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5-7 years’ experience using written and verbal communication skills 
• 5-7 years’ experience in Assessing and interpreting audience needs and requirements 
• 5-7 years’ experience solving moderately complex problems and/or moderately complex analyses 
• Ability to use collaborative skills
