The person we hire to inaugurate the Senior Content Strategist role on our Marketing team will be in the middle of all the action, shepherding strategic messaging both externally and internally. Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Develop strong relationships with industry players and actively promote the IntelliScript product suite by seeking out potential conference participation, identify speaking opportunities for IntelliScript SME’s, etc. 
  • Promote IntelliScript’s products and core competencies within Milliman 
  • Act as a go-to branding resource, representing Marketing across all of IntelliScript 
  • Empower employees to follow IntelliScript brand guidelines and perform final peer review 
  • Assist with product registration process for IntelliScript product suite 
  • Create cross-functional partnerships with IntelliScript departments such as Operations, Analytics, Sales, and Product Management 
  • Take initiative and ownership of each task, manage projects to completion 
  • Manage others’ expectations, provide ample time for peer review 
  • Develop a style guide to define IntelliScript’s “voice” and style suitable to each audience 
  • Write original copy for marketing materials including press releases, advertisements, brochures, newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, whitepapers, etc. 
  • Edit and proofread copy (own and others’) for clarity, accuracy and adherence to style 
  • Audit and administer correct use of brand standards as well as up-to-date product information in PowerPoint decks; ensure consistency; manage version control 
  • Contribute directly to employer branding initiatives 
  • Support Marketing team members with logistics for thought leadership webinars, speaking engagements, sponsored events, etc. as needed 
  • Make occasional changes to web site content within WordPress

Professional Qualifications:

  • Robust portfolio of B2B copywriting work demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively as one brand speaking to multiple audiences (digital, print, thought leadership/white papers, trade show, etc.). 
  • Current or recent responsibility for upholding brand standards and marketing content in all formats 
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects at varying stages, driving deliverables and timelines across multiple departments 
  • Five or more years of professional experience 
  • Completed Bachelor’s degree

  • Confident when presenting ideas and defending rationale 
  • Able to think strategically and act tactically 
  • Able to reach compromise through constructive conflict and peer review process 
  • Excellent organization and prioritization of multiple concurrent tasks, such as projects in different phases and internal requests for help desk support 
  • Meticulous attention to detail 
  • Curiosity, always seeking out learning opportunities 
  • Polished communication style, articulate and professional when writing and speaking with clients and partners as well as with colleagues, at all organizational levels 
  • Display a positive, constructive, “can do” attitude 
  • Excited to adapt to the needs of the business and take on additional responsibilities over time

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Content management system experience 
  • Salesforce experience 
  • Knowledge of insurance and/or software industry

Location:

This position will be based out of the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI. Applicants must be willing to work onsite in the Milliman office. All employees are currently working remotely and will do so until such a time when we can return to the office safely.
