About this role:

Reporting to the Director of Agency Design and Operations, this position will review and edit original copy produced by our In-House Agency (IHA). This individual will work closely with Account Directors, Copywriters and Designers to deliver both new and updated content for various touchpoints. This position is required to be in the office 3 days a week and will office at 600 South 4th Street in Minneapolis, MN. The Wells Fargo job profile is Senior Copy Editor.

In this role, you will:

  • Review and edit copy for correctness, consistency, and completeness 
  • Ensure copy is compliant and adheres to all corporate branding and legal guidelines 
  • Validate documents have the appropriate copyright, disclosure, logos, and service marks 
  • Maintain style preferences, terminology guides, and editorial process documentation 
  • Collaborate with key stakeholder to establish Wells Fargo and line-of-business standards 
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance editorial standards 
  • Conduct quality checks and functional testing on digital properties 
  • Bolster SEO efforts with updated copy 
  • Serve as a SME and mentor for copy editors

Required Qualifications, US:

4+ years of Creative Services, marketing, creative writing, or communications writing experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience editing original copy for correctness, consistency, and completeness 
  • Experience working with Chicago Manual of Style and AP Stylebook guidelines 
  • Experience collaborating and consulting with Account Directors, Copywriters and Designers 
  • Experience working with content management systems (CMS) 
  • Experience applying Agile methodologies within an In-House Agency environment 
  • Experience building strong relationships and collaborating across large organizations 
  • Experience presenting information in a manner that persuades, and influences decision makers
