Position Details

Senior Creative Manager
Northern Illinois
New Lenox, IL

The Senior Creative Manager partners with the Director, Marketing to ensure projects align with the overall brand vision and strategy of the organization. The Senior Creative Manager will work cross functionally, aligning with the design team and keeping the creative process moving forward. This position will be instrumental in balancing day-to-day tactics and long-term creative strategy, as well as seamlessly implementing our brand design systems to ensure consistency and quality of the brand experience at every touch point.

What will you be doing?

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the design team with expert prioritization by coordinating with marketing leads to align priorities, assign resources, and ensure deadlines are met 
  • Monitor and champion creative consistency across channels such as presentations, brochures and other print materials, trade show graphics, icons and illustrations 
  • Explore and and implement new or improved design systems for our brand(s) that allow the team to scale 
  • Resourcefully improve existing processes and make suggestions to our systems to ensure proper execution of our brand 
  • Translate concepts into visual storytelling, wireframes and creative concepts 
  • Prepare and present work to internal teams including senior leadership 
  • Oversee operations of our library of creative assets 
  • Oversee and coordinate production/creative and expedite creative output and continuity 
  • Inspire and bring new ideas to the team through creative thought leadership 
  • Work closely with and report to the Director, Marketing on project flow and provide updates on any obstacles or issues with projects or personnel

What we need from you?

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • 7+ years of creative design experience with 3+ years of management or team leadership experience 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or related field or the equivalent in related work experience. 
  • Attention to detail is key and as a highly-skilled designer, you will provide guidance on creative strategy and deliver impactful and beautiful designs with the utmost quality 
  • Demonstrated history and documented success graphic design executions across a variety of mediums. B2B experience a plus. 
  • Demonstrated history of reporting on campaign effectiveness and suggesting improvements that resulted in specific recommendations and delivered a track record of success. 
  • Proficiency in Adobe creative suite (specifically, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign) and other visual design tools.
