Senior Designer

JOB SUMMARY:

A Senior Designer at Malley Design is responsible for creating and executing effective design solutions for our clients. This includes ideation, concepts and layout design for a wide variety of projects. These projects will mainly include brand identity creation, print collateral, environmental and social media graphics and some responsive web design.

As a key member of the design team, this role will partner closely with creative directors and other designers to produce intelligent designs solutions that drive results for our clients.

Attention to detail combined with a strong working knowledge of design-related applications is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create unique brand identity systems that capture client personality and voice 
• Produce compelling print designs ranging from core identity materials to brochures, flyers and other print collateral 
• Execute additional projects that fall broadly in the role (photo retouching, SVG creation, animated GIF creation, environmental graphics, social media graphics, etc.) 
• Create moodboards, storyboards, wireframes, and page layouts and other website deliverables as dictated by project scope 
• Monitor all assigned projects and follow through on all phases of production 
• Present ideas and work to team and/or senior creative personnel 
• Participate in company social media and promotional initiatives to contribute to the growth and development of Malley Design 
• Remain current on industry trends and technology

EXPERIENCE + QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possess a variety of design skills across mediums (brand, print, web), with a focus on brand identity design and print layout 
• Understanding of printing process, illustration, typography and interactive design 
• Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite required 
• 5+ years of experience in a graphic design position (agency or design studio experience preferred) 
• 4-year degree in design or a related field preferred 
• Ability to work well in a team environment, with a limited degree of supervision, to handle a heavy workload, to prioritize work, and to meet assigned deadlines
