The Content, Channels & Creative team at Medtronic has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Digital Communications Specialist, a digital communications professional who can boost the impact of our storytelling across several key platforms and audiences. This person will influence some of our highest-profile digital properties, including the global intranet (95,000+ employees), and corporate social channels. This is an opportunity to play a key role on a dynamic team supporting numerous major initiatives.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Co-lead any significant improvements to our global intranet homepage (built on Modern SharePoint) in partnership with Employee Communications and other stakeholders. 
  • With support from the vendor, troubleshoot major intranet tech issues. 
  • Assist corporate social media team with digital operations and managing tools, including employee advocacy platform and social media management system. 
  • Lead analytics reporting for content and storytelling across our newsroom stories page, intranet homepage, and organic social. 
  • Identify insights and communicate them in a way that content producers and creative professionals can relate to and leverage. 
  • Guide and coordinate updates to the Medtronic newsroom stories site. 
  • Depending on expertise, interests, and capacity, this person will also have opportunities to develop written, video, and/or visual content for our channels.

Must-Have: Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree required 
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant digital communications experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant digital communications experience 

Nice to Have:

  • Working knowledge of analytics tools, especially Adobe Analytics
  • Experience supporting intranets in an Office 365 environment using Modern SharePoint
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and prioritization skills
  • Comfortable with light editorial tasks, including editing headlines and re-sizing images
  • Experience partnering with content and creative professionals in a corporate, agency, or digital media setting
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager
