Purpose of Position:

The Senior Digital Designer – Email is responsible for the concepting, design and production of emails. This role will also provide support for web content and other digital assets on a need-be basis. This designer adheres to the brand graphic standards and works closely with the Digital Design Team, Brand Teams and Marketing Team to uphold the high storytelling standards indigenous to Duluth.

What You’ll Do:

  • Concept, design and manage seasonal and triggered e-mail communications to our direct consumers. 
  • Design dynamic store and retail emails. 
  • Research new best practices for email marketing campaigns. 
  • Participate in concepting omni-channel campaigns and creative seasonal themes. 
  • Actively participate email and promotional meetings with cross-functional teams including Creative, Direct Marketing, Web and Marketing teams to elevate and evolve the interactive shopping experience incorporating business plans, omni-channel campaigns and email/web best practices. 
  • Partner with direct email marketing on the routing and revision process with e-mail and web testing programs. 
  • Assist the Digital Production Designer by pulling necessary elements from asset libraries, manage calendars and changes, looking ahead for holiday/weather/seasonal opportunities to keep content fresh and capitalize on real-time sales opportunities. 
  • Deliver consistent quality, adhere to brand graphic standards and drive conceptual storytelling of the Duluth brand. 
  • Create or manipulate graphics as needed/directed according to Standard Operating Procedures and to offer an engaging, easy to shop customer experience.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 6+ years of job-related experience; portfolio showcasing heavy digital design work required, marketing experience a plus. 
  • Minimum of Associate Degree in Graphic Design/Art (or equivalent experience) 
  • Must be proficient in Adobe CC: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver 
  • Experience with email marketing tools. Ex. Adobe Campaign, YesMail, ect. 
  • SalesForce or related ecommerce cloud platform experience a plus. 
  • Must be able to thrive in a deadline-driven, fast paced retail environment 
  • Stay current on design technology and trends 
  • Strong eye for design and typography 
  • Excellent organizational skills 
  • Able to communicate clearly 
  • Strong interpersonal skills
