Position Overview

Working closely with the SVP of Corporate Affairs and Marketing and Commercial Operations leaders, the Senior Director & Executive Producer, Creative Services, is responsible for developing and managing the Exact Sciences in-house creative services department based on the company’s current needs and anticipated future growth. In support of company priorities and our ability to leverage internal capabilities for growth, the department will provide a range of high-quality creative services and production to internal clients across the enterprise. This role will build a team that demonstrates a deep knowledge of company and product brands, its stakeholders, and audiences, utilizing an efficient process resulting in significant cost savings to the company.

The Senior Director and Executive Producer, Creative Services will assemble and manage a scalable internal team and network of freelance creative professionals that could include web developers, art designers, videographers, digital media content developers, content writers, and more.

The department funding model will be based on a combination of charge-back to internal clients and centralized funding. The Sr. Director & Executive Producer, Creative Services will also consult on company-wide utilization of external creative agency resources and help to determine the appropriate and effective support for creative content and production.

Essential Duties

Including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Work with cross-functional business partners, including marketing, commercial, customer experience, FP&A, procurement, operations, communications, and medical affairs, to assess and evaluate existing vendors and systems in place to identify opportunities to increase the quality of deliverables, efficiency of business model, centralization of existing resources, consolidation of vendors and cost savings. 
  • Financial performance tracking, management, and forecasting of insourced content development and appropriate initiatives. 
  • Oversee the development and execution of all content creation through the creative services department and serve as a consultant for creative services produced externally. 
  • Recruit and hire creatives services team members and a network of freelancers as needed, as well as equipment and technology needs and investments. 
  • Source and manage external vendors hired to assist in content creation and negotiate contracts with vendors and freelance crews. 
  • Relationship management with internal clients to scope projects, develop briefs and budgets, timelines, and troubleshoot to ensure efficient and cost-effective project management. 
  • Facilitate creative project kickoffs and brainstorming sessions with creative teams, while ensuring consistency with company brand standards and meeting compliance standards. 
  • Review and management of all production schedules and budgets. 
  • Consistent demonstration of exceptional leadership qualities, including but not limited to the ability to attract and retain the best team, foster a culture of high performance, lead with integrity, humility, accountability, and courage, and set a clear vision to energize teams towards the future. 
  • Effectively manage, support, and guide your team, including, but not limited to delegating tasks and responsibilities, assess employee performance and provide helpful feedback and training opportunities.

  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day. 
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of working time away from the work location, which may include overnight/weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in media, advertising, design, or a related field as outlined in the essential duties. 
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in an associated field. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities. 
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation. 
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Salary Range: $197,000.00 - $315,000.00

The annual base salary shown is a national range for this position on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms, conditions, and eligibility requirements of the applicable plans.
