Position Overview:

The Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships is a strong sales coach, leader and salesperson with a proven track record in media sales and sales representative oversight. The Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships will have overall responsibility for the leadership of the West Region, overseeing the sponsorship, advertising and event income of their assigned properties. Responsibilities include developing and executing the organization and individual property vision, development of a strong sales culture and fostering a winning team environment.

This position is responsible for the day to day management of the sales/sponsorship activities withinthecompany'swest properties. The sales efforts will include sponsorship, interior/exterior advertising and real estate.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages, coaches, trains and mentors regional sales team as well as the associated partners at their focused & secondary properties/shopping centers 
  • Works with team members in leasing, asset management, operations, development, accounting, and marketing to execute the strategic plans for each property; requires expertise in media, events and sponsorship and the ability to act as the resource for other team members in this area 
  • Generates new business; thinks creatively to develop new programs and ideas that are beneficial for the company's centers and that work within the strategic plans of the centers 
  • Monitors deal making to ensure dealmaker pipelines are active, that goals are being met and that assigned centers' deals and centers are meeting goal metrics such as alternative revenue goals tied to in-mall advertising, events andlocal /regional sponsorship 
  • Approve and provide guidance on Regional Strategic Partnership and Specialty Leasing deals within region 
  • Calls on target accounts/clients, developing sales presentation materials for these accounts/clients and presenting to these accounts/clients; this position is expected to have proven capability to communicate with potential clients at the VP and CMO level 
  • Build and manage region/property budgets and forecasts to ensure delivery of revenue targets 
  • Develop team goals/targets and lead team to achievement of them 
  • Oversee/develop existing and new revenue streams for organization and collaborate across multiple disciplines to successfully execute 
  • Attend conferences and present Brookfield opportunities for potential partnerships 
  • Develop personal revenue target initiative to contribute to departmental revenue goals.
  • Additional responsibilities/projects as assigned
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, management or general business 
  • 5-10 yrs experience in a leadership position, preferably with direct management of salespeople 
  • Experience in out-of-home advertising, events, sponsorship and/or shopping centers a plus 
  • Deal Making 
  • Ability to lead and direct others 
  • Excellent oral and written communication, public speaking/presentation skills 
  • Ability to manage and communicate in a large organization 
  • Knowledge and ability to use general Microsoft platforms 
  • Proven track record of defining and executing key analysis with minimal supervision 
  • Strong interpersonal skills required; 
  • Proven ability to work well across multiple disciplines within the organization 
  • Strong excel skills and forecasting experience required 
  • About 25% travel
