We are hiring a Content Management (Editorial) Senior Specialist who will champion our verbal brand by developing highly creative, engaging, and immersive multichannel content for Neuroscience and Medical Surgical Marketing programs and plans.

A Day in the Life.

Campaign Strategy & Development (60%):

  • In-house editorial expert developing high-quality, brand-right content across traditional print, digital, and social media 
  • Write and edit marketing materials for product launches, omnichannel campaigns, and other key initiatives 
  • Build and maintain a consistent product and services brand image through creative message development, copywriting, editing, and proofreading 
  • Represent the voice of customer for content creation across relevant stages and platforms 
  • Create clean, bold, and engaging content that adheres to the Medtronic verbal brand identity and complies with legal and regulatory standards 
  • Participate in project input meetings and brainstorms

Project Management (15%):

  • Responsible for end-to-end editorial process: writing, editing, proofreading, and fact-checking 
  • Balance multiple projects and clients while ensuring quality is maintained and quick timelines are met 
  • Self-starter; able to manage a busy schedule and requests from many sources 
  • Work closely with Project Management team to manage project workflow and activities

Collaboration (10%):

  • Engage with internal cross-functional partners to produce relevant, targeted content 
  • Collaborate closely with Creative Media + Design and Web + Digital peers to produce effective content quickly 
  • Communicate clearly and professionally to share ideas, status, and solutions 
  • Exemplify a culture of editorial excellence, accountability, collaboration, andproblem-solving

Quality Control (15%):

  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail by understanding and applying the master brand guidelines, content creation process, and internal proofing 
  • Adhere to project workflow processes and procedures 
  • Actively partner with analytics to understand performance against KPIs and offer counsel on refinements and content optimization

Must Have:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree required 
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Marketing Communications, Communications, Journalism or English, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years'

Nice to Have:

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams) and Adobe Acrobat 
  • Solid storytelling skills 
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills 
  • Experience writing content from the ground up and adapting it for different audiences and channels Skilled conceptual thinker and verbal communicator; demonstrates strong skills in executing brand strategy and verbal identity 
  • Experience in which content formats and channels reach difference audiences 
  • Understanding of how SEO, metadata, and accessibility shape digital content 
  • Familiarity and comfort adhering strictly to house style guide and brand guidelines 
  • Ability to manage, organize, and archive files 
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and adherence to workflow processes 
  • Fast learner with the ability to quickly adapt to an ever-changing environment 
  • Strong communication, listening, and collaboration skills 
  • Experience in the medical device, healthcare, or other highly regulated industry 
  • Experience developing branded copy that adheres to company/industry legal and regulatory rules and standards 
  • Curious and passionate about the customer experience 
  • Big picture thinker with an eye for how copy complements design 
  • Knowledge of project management tools such as Workfront, Infowit, or BaseCamp 
  • Experience with cloud-based tools such as SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.
