Position Details

Senior Graphic Designer
Chicago Illinois
Chicago or Remote, IL

The Graphic Designer guides and delivers on the visual brand strategy for the company.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop, create and execute upon concepts and visual ideas for all forms of communication, advertising and promotional materials. 
  • Perform graphics design duties requiring planning, scheduling, and implementation of graphic design projects. 
  • Determine effectiveness of product imagery and presentation needs through employee and vendor feedback. 
  • Review design drafts, proof camera-ready art, and ensure proper pagination and color assignment. 
  • Develop and design the aesthetics, visual design and/or layout of product artwork, component design, marketing materials and packaging to enhance product image. 
  • Assist in Web design and creating online content. 
  • Design e-newsletters, e-vites, direct mail, web sites, micro sites, video production, sales/marketing collateral, brand development initiatives, conference event ideas/materials, etc. 
  • Receive high volume of requests daily and work consultatively with internal clients. 
  • Translate strategic business objectives into creative solutions. 
  • Brainstorm ideas on creative, execution, and overall brand. 
  • Develop brand/design library to scale design across several business units. 
  • Create interface design elements that effectively communicate navigation, content flow and call to action. 
  • Ensure accurate revision cycle. 
  • Interface and partner with Marketing Managers and other creative colleagues. 
  • May manage relationships with external sources relating to design issues

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, preferably Multimedia and Web Design (Preferred) 
  • 7+ years relevant work experience; 2-3 years at the Senior level or equivalent experience (Preferred) 
  • Experience in Flash or video (Preferred) 
  • Up to 10% travel may be required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional attention to detail in graphics, layout, and typography. 
  • Extensive knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Strong design skills suitable to a corporate environment. 
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, Dreamweaver. 
  • Demonstrated capabilities of estimating time schedules and working towards aggressive deadlines. 
  • Demonstrated flexibility in multiple task assignments while maintaining a high level of accuracy
