Senior Graphic Designer

Create and produce graphic design and layout recommendations for external and internal visual communications such as brochures, info sheets, ads, whitepapers, case studies, web banners, presentations, tradeshow booth graphics, social media graphics, and more. The Senior Graphic Designer works under general supervision, but to a great extent independently, monitoring established company procedures and taking an active role in pursuing opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of design team output.

The Senior Graphic Designer must possess an advanced knowledge of corporate branding, layout, and production techniques and processes for digital and print media, to deliver a positive engagement with designed materialsto achieve desired business solutions. Must be capable of multitasking, and working with internal clients to refine and improve the design work, and be comfortable providing design and branding guidance as a collaborative team member and advisor. Must be comfortable working independently, evaluating feedback from stakeholders and probing for additional insights. Collaborates with the Design Manager, providing input and helping to interpret brand strategy and employ improvements. Occasionally oversees other designers’ work and provides overall creative and brand support to the design team. Must be an expert at understanding and maintaining the corporate brand and its evolution.

Essential Duties (Required duties employees must accomplish and performance is measured):

  • Graphic design tasks and responsibilities: Create and edit marketing collateral and layouts from concept to finished documents for a variety of marketing and communication materials and templates. Take on additional design responsibilities as needed, including special projects designated by the Design Manager or Digital Marketing leadership. 
  • Design and brand advisor responsibilities: Collaborate with the Design Manager, as well as internal clients and stakeholders, to identify needs and provide input for improvements to quality and efficiency of design team deliverables. 
  • Provide leadership in establishing or improving processes and procedures. 
  • Production and document responsibilities: Finalize files, format templates, prepare files for upload, following company protocol for web security or Print-On-Demand, work with outside vendors and partners, prepare files for printing, digital distribution, or social media. Support, maintain and in some cases help establish digital asset storage and organizational procedures. 
  • Illustration responsibilities: Create or revise brand assets in Adobe Illustrator, to support one of RSM brand’s primary visual devices used in marketing. Provide leadership to other designers for illustration techniques and ideation. 
  • Graphics and infographic responsibilities: Create new graphics to illustrate complex issues and/or processes as part of our service offerings to clients. Establish, refine and maintain a standard of brand quality for other designers to follow. 
  • Team responsibilities: Ongoing exploration of new apps, techniques, tools and solutions to help advance the quality of the design team’s support, as well as the speed and efficiency we deliver. Participate in weekly meetings and support other members of the design team with tips and helpful information to assist with ongoing development.
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree or Certificate in Graphic Design, or equivalent experience; required.


  • In-depth expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.; required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, etc.; required.
  • Experience designing for digital consumption, including social media graphics; required.
  • Strong interest and an aptitude for learning new technologies and design skills; required.


  • At least eight years of professional experience as a graphic designer; required. 
  • Senior design level or equivalence preferred. 
  • A portfolio of work to demonstrate skill and experience; required. 
  • Proven ability to interpret business concepts with compelling visuals; required.
  • At least two years of experience working with a corporate brand, in an in-house capacity; preferred.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; required. 
  • Experience advising clients and stakeholders on brand strategies and best practices; preferred
