Spacesaver is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer! Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for leading the concept, design, production, and project coordination of internal and external marketing and communications content—increasing Spacesaver brand recognition and driving revenue and market share. These campaigns include the development of integrated marketing elements, such as brochures, product launch sales tools, trade show graphics, website, video, email, social media, collateral, and other tactics as appropriate. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented with excellent layout and proofing skills—in all media types (print, digital, video).

This position offers a flexible schedule working 2 days remote after the first 90 days! Office hours are 8am-5pm.

Essential Duties:

  • Lead, oversee and protect the Spacesaver design standards. 
  • Lead the design portion of all marketing campaigns and visual content creation. 
  • Work in a fast-paced environment to develop concepts through completion—working within our brand guidelines and the expectations of each project. 
  • As appropriate, collaborate with the Webmaster, Digital Marketing Specialist, Copywriter, and Marketing Specialist to develop an understanding of our users, brand positioning and communication. 
  • Interpret company needs and develop concepts to suit specific guidelines while working within budget constraints. Provide accurate time and cost estimates for each tactic. 
  • Present design work at various stages to stakeholders for review and final approval. 
  • Interface with printers and various external vendors. Attend press checks and participate in photo shoots as needed. 
  • Work and collaborate with team members to help build a consistent UX/UI design with all Spacesaver web sites. 
  • Work and collaborate with team members to design consistent and effective email campaigns. 
  • Manage own project workflow, while coordinating with project teams and management on schedules, requirements, goals, and assignments as needed 
  • With the assistance of the Marketing Manager, Vertical Marketing Sales Manager and Trade show Coordinator, the Creative Strategist will drive the creation and design of Spacesaver’s national and regional trade show booths. This includes, but is not limited to, product suggestions, graphics on the product, backdrop design, and truss design.

Required Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, advertising or related discipline.

Five or more years of experience in branding, print and web design, working within an in-house creative department or other creative team environment and with at least 1 year experience in a business-to-business environment.

An impressive portfolio, with core strength in visual design.

Mastered composition techniques (multiple elements and interactive pieces) in producing polished final pieces.

Demonstrated complete understanding of:

  • Color theory and color relationships. 
  • Typographic terms that identify type forms and the specifications required to refer to typographic settings. 
  • Perspective and space relationships. 
  • Page composition and grid structures. 
  • Print production process and knowledge of production techniques. 
  • Photography and the photographic process. 
  • Video production and editing. 
  • Web page and e-mail layout design and production
