About the role:

The Senior Integrated Marketing Communications Specialist initiates, develops and executes communications strategies that are aligned with Communications and Programs, Marketing, and Sales objectives. This role is responsible for the delivery of global, world-class creative outputs of Boston Scientific’s omnichannel campaigns/product launches with strong project management skills while ensuring master brand guidelines throughout the creative process.

This role will be located in our Maple Grove, MN location with hybrid work schedule.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leads the development and execution of strategic communications plans that support product and franchise activities; recommending the use of appropriate channels, messages and tactics. Applies product and market knowledge throughout the process. 
  • Communicates proactively to all levels of management and stakeholders. Champions communications messages throughout the organization. 
  • Produces communications materials ensuring consistency and collaboration across franchises while following established guidelines, processes and tools. Educates cross-functional teams, provides direction and establishes solutions where appropriate. 
  • Fosters strong relationships with key customers, both internal and external. Participates in project teams outside of Communications and Programs. Serves as a liaison and communications resource for initiatives. 
  • Partners with and manages vendors to ensure that initiatives meet objectives. Directs and initiates solutions in support of continuous improvement. 
  • Defines, tracks and maintains budgets. Ensures cost-saving measures and spending within allocated amount. Participates in the development of department and franchise budgets, adhering to corporate priorities. 
  • Applies finance principles to the development of department and franchise budgets. 
  • Analyzes program impact and metrics for projects and/or launches. Provides recommendations and creates plans for continuous improvement. 
  • Maintains and enhances knowledge of communications and industry trends and best-in-class practices as related to responsibilities.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of professional experience 
  • Minimum of (3) three years proven, direct experience in developing and deploying successful marketing communications campaigns or programs. 
  • Collateral/content development for use in multiple communications channels 
  • Up to 25% domestic travel

Preferred qualifications:

  • Agency experience 
  • Strong demonstrated project management skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and partner with internal/external stakeholders. 
  • Ability to influence cross-functional colleagues, even without direct reporting relationships. 
  • Strong writing and editing skills in creative writing and/or medical writing for various audiences and contexts 
  • Medical Device experience or regulated environment experience
