Ecolab, the global leader in water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions and services, is seeking an executive communications manager to join the company’s Global Communications team. This is a unique, high-visibility and influential opportunity for a diplomatic communications professional to join a global sustainability company at the forefront of people and planet health.

This individual will work closely with the recently appointed Chief Executive Officer of this global Fortune 500 company to support his internal and external communications needs. Partnering with communications colleagues across the global, divisional and regional teams, this person will help co-create the communication strategy supporting the CEO’s vision for the future of Ecolab. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success advising c-suite executives, developing executive platforms, and executing thought leadership communications.

Location: Ecolab Global Headquarters, St. Paul, MN ('hybrid' model upon return-to-work)

What You Will Do:

  • Develop the CEO’s annual messaging strategy, in partnership with Ecolab executives and other key internal stakeholders. 
  • Deliver CEO editorial planning, coordinating across the global communications community. 
  • Identify and capture significant thought leadership opportunities, including media profiling, customer engagements, and major conferences and events. 
  • Support the CEO’s social media engagement, including editorial planning, content development, and reporting. 
  • Support narrative development, presentation creation, and CEO briefing needs for key events and communication activities.
  • Lead other communications initiatives as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5 to 7+ years professional communications experience, with relevant experience in executive communications, internal communications, or speech writing 
  • Experience in roles requiring the highest standards of discretion and confidentiality
  • Proven track record of managing successful communications or thought leadership plans 
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with knowledge of AP style 
  • Experience delivering communications materials in a variety of formats (e.g., press releases, issue documents, briefing papers, videos, presentations, etc.) 
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, marketing or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working directly with and advising c-suite executives 
  • Strong business acumen and executive presence 
  • Experience working collaboratively with international and cross-functional teams

  • Highly organized and detail oriented
