Position Details:

The Senior Manager, Marketing Customer Strategy leads a team responsible for driving a set of targeted mid-funnel customer objectives through multichannel marketing programs.

This role is responsible for synthesizing business strategy of aligned efforts associated to Customer Strategy & Marketing (CSM) objectives. Owns business partner relationships. Provides strategic insight on priorities and capabilities that would evolve Grainger’s Customer Strategy objective and KPIs. Develops processes, criteria, and governance cross-functionally to break down barriers, improve strategic marketing program output and executes against specialized strategies at scale. Manages a set of business partner relationships with aligned key strategy to enable support of marketing business strategy across customer objectives.

You will be reporting to Sr. Director, Targeted Marketing and Orchestration.

You Will:

  • Leads the development of marketing strategy for aligned customer objective and business go-to-market strategies across the mid-funnel. 
  • Collaborates with pod team on the broader development of the marketing plans across other channels. 
  • Prioritizes new work of the CSM Objective pod and coordinates across channel/creative refresh needs in support of aligned creative execution. 
  • In collaboration with the reporting and analytics team establishes and measures KPIs and dashboards linked to CSM objectives to track, understand customer lifetime value (LTV) objective, and optimize performance. 
  • Partners with audience enablement to ensure targeting of audience/ effectiveness of audience against CSM objective. 
  • Supports development of effective and efficient operating models with internal partners given the highly cross-functional nature of the work. 
  • Evaluates the success of the investment, ensures LTV payback on marketing investment is profitable/driving CSM objectives.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or related field; MBA. 
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in marketing strategy and execution 
  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects with competing timelines in large organizations. 
  • Experience translating strategic plan to actionable tactics. 
  • Experience utilizing analytics to driving decisions. 
  • Experience establishing relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization. 
  • Experience in the digital marketing space,.
