Coloplast has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Marketing Communications Manager to join our growing Wound & Skin Care team.

Coloplast’s Sr. Marketing Communications Manager for Wound & Skin Care NA will develop and execute the internal and external communications strategy that drives business growth. This role collaborates closely with a broad group of stakeholders, to include NA Sales, Marketing – local and global, digital teams and business leaders as a key driver towards increasing market share.

Major Areas of Accountability:

  • Effectively coach and manage the Marketing Communications function, including the development, training and direction for a marketing associate 
  • Set annual marketing communications strategy – consult with the marketing team to recommend new and creative ways to drive marketing initiatives 
  • Continually look for ways to improve effectiveness of campaigns and other marketing initiatives. Monitor performance and recommend adjustments throughout the year through effective use of KPIs. 
  • Contribute to new thinking and creative ways to establish our leadership position in the marketplace through communications and messaging. Establish our key brands and technologies in the markets we serve through creative content and ongoing communications/messaging 
  • Ensure product positioning, branding, trademarks, and messaging are consistent throughout all communications across the business unit 
  • Responsible for designing and implementing marketing automation campaigns including content, email and lead management 
  • Develop and execute an annual advertising plan which aligns to the marketing goals and objectives 
  • Manage and optimize our sales enablement platform (Showpad) to deliver best-in-class sales tools to our sales team 
  • Manage relationships with internal and external creative and media partners, craft communications plan and establish robust measurement plans 
  • Set strategy and drive improvements for WSC presence on www.coloplast.us; Measure effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns by reviewing KPIs and connecting those to the business goals; continually look for ways to improve campaign effectiveness 
  • Build and manage the marketing communications budget to support the business priorities 
  • Lead WSC events such as sales meetings, industry tradeshows and conventions, and leadership and launch meetings. Ensure all events meet business objectives while escalating our culture and employee and customer engagement 
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of products, industry, and customers critical to the wound and skin care organization

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Communications or other relevant field of study 
  • 7+ years successful experience in marketing communications with responsibility for substantial budget 
  • Previous people leadership experience preferred 
  • Experience managing external vendors: creative and digital agencies 
  • Experience with digital marketing, marketing automation, SEO and social media strategies 
  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, including Story-telling – ability to sell big concepts as well as tactical plans to leadership 
  • Demonstrate both creative and critical thinking skills 
  • Demonstrate ability to influence and negotiate both internally and externally 
  • Demonstrates ability to manage multiple projects across interdisciplinary functions (including outside vendors or agencies) and gain consensus/approval where needed 
  • Demonstrates exceptional organization competencies with regard to MarCom team and personal commitments 
  • Proven ability to lead, manage and support cross-functional/international projects, prioritize & drive strategic objectives 
  • Ability to travel 10-20%
