Senior Marketing Communications Specialist

The job of the Senior Marketing Communications Specialist – Industrial Segment Communications is responsible for the development and execution of a multi-channel, integrated communications strategy to successfully promote the Pest Elimination and Fumigation businesses in the industrial segment.

A successful candidate will have proven experience creating communications plans that meet business objectives in a business-to-business model. They also demonstrate the ability to foster relationships with business partners, including Corporate Communications, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Marketing Communications.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with segment marketing team and channel communications team to develop segment communication and advertising plans that drive customer acquisition and retention 
  • Oversees communication activities including technical and/or promotional writing and design, audio and video production, development and management of digital communications channels, including Web sites, media relations and vendor relationship management. 
  • Build go-to-market plans that achieve business objectives for new programs, products, and/or services 
  • Own brand positioning and creative development for the segment, often in partnership with agencies 
  • Build relationships with industry influencers, publications, and media outlets 
  • Manage budget and resource allocation to meet business objectives 
  • Incorporates Ecolab brand standards in all communications.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Marketing Communications, or similar field. 
  • 5-8 years’ experience within marketing communications. Preferred agency experience. 
  • Proven ability to develop communications strategies that achieve business objectives. 
  • Working knowledge of marketing communications best practices across multiple channels, including digital. 
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Preferred experience with Adobe Creative Suite. 
  • Preferred industry experience.

Education/Work Experience:

  • Degree and five to eight years professional experience, including ability to lead projects.

Independence Level/Reports to:

  • Works independently, receives minimal guidance. 
  • Normally reports to division Marketing Comm Management.
