Senior Marketing Communications Specialist

The Senior Marketing Communications Specialist creates and owns the development of targeted content to help drive campaigns that deliver marketing qualified leads to sales. As the Senior specialist, you will not only drive your individual vertical – Vehicle Care, but you will also be responsible for ensuring the strategic alignment between the organization's goals and the development of marketing campaigns to meet those objectives.Our ideal candidate has analytical, writing, and project management and critical-thinking skills. They are also creative, forward thinking, responsive, innovative, and a great teammate.


Essential Functions

  • Leads, develops and executes plans for marketing communications, advertising, and tradeshows to achieve vertical and company strategic goals. 
  • Build the value of Hydra-Flex’s corporate brand by overseeing uniformity in company image, positioning and messaging. 
  • Identify, capture, and develop vertical marketing strategic plans with Product Line Management and Sales personnel, to include personas, voice of customer, and strategic direction for content development to achieve sales goals. 
  • Requires a deep understanding of digital marketing and the key performance indicators used to track specific channels including web, social, paid search, SEO, email, etc. 
  • Works with other Marketing Communications specialist to mentor and develop together centralized marketing content, data segmentation, reporting/analysis, outreach campaigns, marketing collateral, merchandise and promotions while measuring and evaluating impact on lead and brand awareness

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects to develop marketing campaigns, brand collateral, and long-term strategies – overseeing the work of external consultants, including web developers, videographers and online platform vendors 
  • Help develop content strategies for marketing collateral, website, social media and public relations. 
  • Generate, write, proofread, and edit compelling copy for all marketing collateral including brochures, advertising, catalogs, social media content, company website, whitepapers and other documents. 
  • Use Pardot to create and execute targeted e-blast campaigns, lead generation programs and lead nurturing strategies. 
  • Help develop and execute an event strategy including tradeshows, webinars, and virtual events to support sales, engage customers, and promote products.

Campaign Development and Content Creation

  • Manage the Hydra-Flex advertising & campaign calendars. Generate new advertising messaging in alignment with marketing & sales team campaign strategies. 
  • Help create and implement social media marketing plan including content and editorial calendar. Generate, edit, publish, and share content daily (original text, images, video, etc). 
  • Use social and Google analytics to monitor websites, social media traffic and customer engagement. Address clients’ queries to ensure timely support and interaction while mitigating negative PR and customer reviews. 
  • Be an expert in story brand messaging, and a steward of the Hydra-Flex brand voice and trust. 
  • Review and edit copy written by others to ensure consistency, grammatical accuracy, and compliance with Hydra-Flex brand guidelines for voice and tone. 
  • Manage creative projects with internal designers to deliver content when required. 
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners. 
  • Research, analyze, and monitor competition; develop and present messaging guidelines to position Hydra-Flex against competitors in the marketplace. 
  • Be the key liaison between the company, industry associations, and industry media contacts.


  • BS in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or relevant field 
  • 6-8 years of B2C marketing communications experience 
  • Experience with multichannel marketing campaigns 
  • Familiarity with B2B and B2C advertising campaigns 
  • Knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics, Salesforce and Pardot 
  • Hands-on experience with web content management tools, like WordPress 
  • Have working knowledge of marketing specific software 
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Experience with marketing campaigns on social media 
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically 
  • Put customer at the forefront for both internal and external customers 
  • Be able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with other employees and communicate and interact effectively with team members at all levels 
  • Enjoy problem solving by being self-motivated, proactive, disciplined, curious and able to work both independently and with a team 
  • Some travel will be required, up to 20%. 
  • Responsibilities may require extended working hours beyond normal business hours.
