The Headlines:

In the role of Senior Marketing Manager working in Chicago, IL, you’ll be a head architect building one of our high profile brands at MillerCoors, which means shaping American culture and changing the way America enjoys beer. You’ll operate as a creative brand builder and a business owner of some of America’s most iconic brands, effectively blending the art & science of marketing – all while having over 300 years of brewing heritage behind you.

This position reports to the Marketing Director Coors Activation and works closely with internal and external stakeholders through the value chain to deliver on strategic intent.

The Responsibilities:

  • You own the overall brand strategy and positioning for an assigned brand, ensuring the strategic integrity within total brand portfolio and within the beer category 
  • You will clearly communicate all brand programs and provide direction by understanding brand strategies, link to channel strategies and applying them to the development of brand programs and creative messaging 
  • You will ensure effective integration of brand plan / activities/ marketing programming and messaging from conception through execution into broader organization, while retaining the ability to react to competitor and market conditions 
  • You will deliver against the brand’s strategic, volumetric and financial goals annually, as well as long-term ability to meet three-year brand equity targets 
  • Not only will you define the vision across 360 degrees of marketing mix nationally, but you’ll also sell the 360 degree programming strategy to key external stakeholders including distributors and key retailers 
  • You will attract, lead, manage and mentor employees in a way that ensures retention, development and superior performance

The Other Qualifications:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business or, better yet, an MBA. 
  • You have at least 7 years of related marketing experience for a leading CPG organization (including advertising experience with TV and secondary media); sales experience is a definite plus 
  • You have experience collaborating with sales on implementation of retail based marketing programs 
  • You operate with a general manager mindset and always approach your work as an owner of the business 
  • You have a proven track record when it comes to building national marketing plans that consistently deliver both short-term and long-term business results, including meeting volume, share and profit goals 
  • You have an innate ability to build empathy with consumers, in particular millennials and diverse consumers
