This role is responsible for the delivery of marketing support and strategy for the Government Services channel and involves a close working relationship with channel sales and marketing teams. You will be responsible for developing, driving and implementing marketing plans. The Government Services Sr. Marketing Manager is responsible for the day-to-day marketing management and execution of key initiatives including support for product launches as well as other marketing activities for his/her specific channel. As part of these product releases and general marketing campaigns, the Sr. Marketing Manager will lead the execution of integrated launch campaigns; brand-specific messaging; product messaging, and collaborate on regional and local training events and tradeshows.

The Sr. Marketing Manager will work closely with the Vice President of Product Marketing, the Vice President of Government Services, the Government Services leadership team, as well as other cross-functional marketing teams (Customer, Consumer, Digital, Communications, Events, Creative and Project Managers) to help develop and execute marketing strategies and plans.

Responsibilities:

Provide Strategic Direction Based on Needs of the Government Services Channel

  • Lead the development of a strategic marketing plan through collaboration with channel leadership and HQ marketing leadership based on specific channel needs. Work with channel leaders to influence HQ’s overall strategy and ensure all plans align corporate standards.
  • Be the primary voice of the Government Services sales and marketing needs to inform and influence Starkey HQ marketing team. Perform periodic reviews with HQ and channel leaders to identify and deliver process improvements.

Execute Government Services Marketing Programs, Including Launches

  • Communicate product/program vision details from/to HQ-based teams 
  • Lead execution of multiple campaigns working with creative teams and vendors. 
  • Manage execution of ongoing miscellaneous marketing needs for retail/wholesale customers and regional/local training events and tradeshows as needed.

Marketing Asset Development & Deployment

  • Work with channel leadership to push and pull information from HQ on the development and deployment of marketing campaigns and assets that align with overall strategic direction. Facilitate the customization of assets by target customer persona. 
  • Work with strategy, design, and deployment resources to deliver printed, printable and other non-digital assets as well as deploy digital assets.
  • Leverage modern research tools to extract market insight and deliver to Product Management Team. 
  • Work with insight, design, and development teams to deploy digital assets.

Assist With Channel Marketing Measurement & Reporting

  • Use best practices to measure marketing campaign success and use information to influence and inform future strategies. 
  • Consolidate channel campaign results and facilitate sharing across teams

Other duties/responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Education, Certification and Experience Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related area 
  • MBA desired

Experience:

  • 6-8 years of advertising agency (account management) or marketing experience 
  • Proven track record of success developing strategic marketing plans in the med-device industry 
  • Desired experience working with Government Services or Veterans Affais

Knowledge / Technical Requirements

  • Microsoft Office suite of programs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. 
  • Knowledge of creative production process
