Position Profile

Responsible for the design and delivery of advertising, public relations and other marketing/promotional materials. Assists with promotions, special events and all other marketing programs within the credit union.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties

  • In partnership with each assigned business unit, develops marketing strategy, annual budget, and annual marketing plan 
  • Serves as liaison between marketing and various Hiway business units, facilitating regular touchpoints and ensuring goals are being met 
  • Designs print materials, signage, displays, ads, logos, messaging and company branded collateral 
  • Assists the SVP of Marketing and Business Development with Hiway’s branching initiatives, including attending all branching project meetings, providing design input with an eye to easy and consistent member experience, and planning launch events and communications 
  • Plans and assists with community events, including sponsorships, community festivals and member seminars 
  • Working with the Data Analyst, shares results of marketing initiatives with business units and makes recommendations for improvements/lessons learned 
  • As needed, assists with creation and design of web, social media and mobile content 
  • Ensures all printed materials meet regulatory compliance standards and adhere to brand guidelines 
  • Maintains communications with staff regarding new Marketing materials and promotions 
  • Distributes materials to employees and branches when applicable and as directed 
  • Maintains a departmental portfolio which includes all past and current promotional pieces

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or equivalent experience 
  • Attention to detail 
  • Analytical skills 
  • Proficiency with Adobe design programs, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator 
  • Verbal and written communication skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products 
  • Knowledge of print and broadcast production (video production experience a plus)
