We are seeking an ambitious, dedicated Senior PR Account Executive who will make a meaningful difference on our team. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, dedicated PR pro with a proven record of working with trade and national print, online and broadcast media outlets. The ability to understand and apply client value propositions to create effective pitches and consistently generate placements is key.

The right candidate has the proven experience set to holistically own a client’s PR initiative – from identification of media targets, to pitch creation, execution, follow-up calls, interview preparation and coordination, to wrap-up reports. The ability to write articles for secured trade media opportunities on behalf of clients is a definite plus.The right candidate has experience working at an integrated marketing communications/PR firm. Strong writing skills are a must – with samples of produced content such as news releases, pitches, feature articles, case studies, social media posts and thought leadership narratives required.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and execute strategic PR programs and plans from conception to completion.
  • Understand clients’ value propositions to the market by developing pitches that give the media a “reason to care” – differentiating our clients and your ability to consistently create opportunity and deliver wins.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with your clients’ trade media targets; possess the ability to identify when and how to elevate pitches to national outlets.
  • Understand how to leverage data – identifying relevant, newsworthy stats – that drive interest and tell a compelling story.
  • Produce effective reporting mechanisms that drive efficiency, thoroughness and client satisfaction.
  • Work closely with Client Service colleagues to ensure clients’ stories are consistent across all marketing channels.
  • Ability to create thoughtful work across disciplines that matches our clients’ integrated communications plans and goals.
  • May serve as daily client contact and act as client lead when appropriate.
  • Assume responsibility for the profitability of all public relations campaigns and projects.
  • Collaborate with agency team members to meet client objectives and provide clients with maximum ROI.
  • Serve as an internal resource for PR best practices – from pitch writing, to media engagement, to reporting and more – working with colleagues to leverage across their accounts.

Requirements include:

  • A Bachelor’s or higher degree in advertising, PR, marketing, English, journalism or related field.
  • 5 years agency experience with PR background.
  • Demonstrated ability in writing press releases and content for trade media, including print, digital and social media.
  • Mastery of Cision and/or like program to create media target lists.
  • The ideal candidate will have a documented history of managing multiple client relationships.
  • He or she will also be well-versed in the range of marketing communications strategies/tactics.
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to turn information into engaging content (writing samples required).
  • Ability to write long-form trade articles a plus.
  • Superior planning/problem-solving skills and the intuitive ability to see projects through to fruition.
  • Initiative to excel individually, balanced with the ability to contribute fully to and support a team-based environment.
  • Organized and detail driven, with an eye on the bigger picture.
  • An “after-it” personality with dedication to getting the job done.
