Senior Project Manager

At FCB Chicago, the Project Management group facilitates processes, systems, and solutions. We establish structure, solve problems, mitigate risk, and minimize distractions in order to elevate client work and relationships on our teams.

The Senior Project Manager seeks out the root cause of problems and provides solutions to better the department, client teams, and agency as a whole. This person builds strong relationships and facilitates connections across agency groups and teams. This person understands the factors that impact project quality, budget, and timing, and drives solutions to deliver the best work for their clients.

Responsibilities:

• Manages multiple, high-complexity projects or programs on assigned account(s), new business and internal initiatives when needed 
• Defines project approach, scope, timelines, and resource/OOP estimates in partnership with Discipline leads 
• Partners with Discipline leads and Creative Resource Management team to identify project resources 
• Partners with production leads to build timelines that meet the creative and production needs of the agency and client 
• Actively manages project timing and resource assignments in Project Management software 
• Prepares and maintains clear, accurate project documentation, including project plan, status report, and resource requests/assignments 
• Schedules internal meetings, defines the agenda, and provides actionable recaps to cross functional team 
• Proactively identifies risks, monitors issues, and provides mitigation/contingency plans throughout project lifestyle 
• Demonstrated ability to distill complex information into a clear, concise format as needed to aid team decision making 
• Effectively manages change and able to influence the team to adopt best practices/process improvements 
• Identifies opportunities for process improvement and improving efficiency; coordinates and implements solutions within team 
• Champions and follows agency best practices on assigned projects and assigned account(s) 
• Builds meaningful relationships with team members and discipline leads 
• Supervises and mentors Project Managers on assigned accounts or in alignment with skill set, identifying opportunities for their growth and advancement to the next level

• 5+ years of project management experience in managing 360 integrated and digital programs, agile experience/SCRUM Master Certification is a plus 
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred, managing and mentoring junior/mid-level talent 
• Has a positive attitude, adaptability and the ability to manage multiple priorities 
• Assertive, proactive, and solution-oriented 
• Demonstrate effective communication and analytical skills 
• Exceptional attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including O365 and Teams 
• Experience using project management/workflow and resourcing software 
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or relevant experience required
