Senior Public Relations Advisor
Northern Illinois
Lincolnshire, IL

The Public Relations – Senior Advisor is responsible for content production in a specialized area of expertise, tasked with creating, indexing, and activating Zebra thought leadership content on the Your Edge blog. This is a detail-oriented role that requires involvement in executing, measuring, and optimizing thought leadership content to drive customer interest and enhance the awareness and relevance of the company with external stakeholders and employees. Working independently with limited supervision, this position is accountable for supporting organizational efforts through the development of compelling thought leadership content including for our Your Edge blog.


  • Produces content used primarily in awareness and thought leadership activities. 
  • Works in alignment with the Digital Marketing team to ensure the blog experience is a positive one and can be used to advance our thought leadership and advocacy content.
  • Collaborates with Digital Marketing team to measure the SEO, visits and other metrics related to the blog and its audience. 
  • Drives a blog content calendar including the sourcing, curation, reviewing, editing and copywriting of strategic content aligned our annual marketing and corporate plans. 
  • Aligns with teams across the organization to build a robust view of content reflecting news, activities, and trends across the company. 
  • Works with the Channel Marketing team to integrate blog content supplied by partners, ISVs, etc. 
  • Assist with the development, copywriting and editing of other original thought leadership content within our earned media strategy. 
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Public Relations

Minimum Experience:

  1. BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or Business
  2. 10 + years of experience with marketing asset creation, including 10+ years in a marketing department or agency (ideally B2B)

Skills & Experience:

  1. Strong copywriter and editor/reviewer
  2. Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies, in particular as it relates to content development
  3. Blog and social media experience preferred
  4. Confirmed capability of keying in on the voice of the brand and ensuring all content (both created and reviewed) aligns with that consistent voice
  5. Marketing production management experience including blogs
  6. Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) required, Adobe Experience Manager a plus
