We are seeking a Senior Public Relations Professional. This is a new position, so the reality is that it can be directionally different, depending on the person. Even the title is a bit TBD, but honestly titles don’t mean a heck of a lot around here anyway. Ultimately, your job will be to help drive the growth of our agency by leading communications strategy and execution for some of the most incredible lifestyle brands on the planet. Big, bold ideas are our currency and we need someone who can both develop the ideas and lead a team that brings them to life efficiently and effectively. Our client base is largely made up of enthusiast or lifestyle brands that connect with people on an emotional level. We are specifically looking for someone to lead clients in the outdoors industry. If you love to hunt and/or fish, then this could very well be your dream job because we aren’t looking for a desk jockey but rather someone who is ready to jump in and live our clients’ brands in a real and meaningful way.

  • Drive senior communications strategy for 2-3 blue-chip brands, working with agency leadership and a small, agile team to do work that over-delivers on client expectations and makes our agency indispensable 
  • Work with agency leadership to ensure financial health of your accounts, sharing in accountability to growth and profitability on the business you lead 
  • Mentor team members, some of whom you will help manage remotely, inspiring and motivating them to do great work while imparting your knowledge and experience along the way 
  • Manage client relationships, proving yourself as a trusted counselor on all things related to communications and marketing their product or service and becoming an invaluable steward of their respective brands 
  • Assist in new business pursuits, quickly gaining an understanding of the business challenge at hand, developing and presenting ideas and strategies as part of an integrated team 
  • Be a positive contributor to an open, proactive, passionate and productive agency culture
  • 5-10 years of agency experience working on high-energy enthusiast or lifestyle brands, ideally with some experience in the hunting, shooting or fishing space OR 
  • 5-10 years of in-house experience in a communications and/or marketing role at an enthusiast brand, ideally in the hunting, shooting or fishing space 
  • A proven ability to be a rainmaker, bringing a team together to develop big conceptual ideas, then drive the daring execution thereof 
  • Ability to think and act creatively and strategically at a conceptual level Strong business acumen, with a demonstrated ability to quickly understand key business challenges and tackle them head-on 
  • Proven track record of winning on behalf of your clients, challenging category norms and convention and delivering measurable results 
  • Disciplined time-management skills and ability to work in an open, empowering environment 
  • Demonstrated understanding of traditional media and social media and how earned, paid and owned channels work together to drive overall communications success 
  • Experience with managing budgets and people on a number of accounts
