About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Search Engine Optimization Specialist to join our Digital team! As a Senior SEO Strategist you will be responsible for planning, implementing and managing our SEO strategy and sharing best practices globally. As our online presence is extremely important for the success of business, your position will play a huge role in driving our business' growth and success.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to, share, and report on the SEO vision for Boston Scientific web properties. 
  • Conduct competitive assessments, assess current SEO performance and processes; drive planning, and execution of SEO strategy 
  • Keep up-to-date on SEO best practices and algorithm updates and latest trends in digital marketing as the SEO subject matter expert 
  • Lead research projects and leverage findings to optimize our properties. 
  • Communicate program performance and drive leadership buy-in for SEO vision. 
  • Develop strategies for implementing page level recommendations at scale across the Boston Scientific properties. 
  • Work towards organic search optimization including backlinking and internal linking opportunities for ROI maximization 
  • Work with creative and development teams to execute on opportunities that improve our visibility on all search engines. 
  • Meet regularly with Digital Marketing Managers (DMMs) and cross functional teams to drive optimizations across properties. 
  • Partner with DMMs to ensure thorough keywords research and continuous optimization 
  • Work with digital and content marketing teams to identify key SEO KPIs 
  • Suggest improvements for process and productivity optimization 
  • Work with digital marketing teams to properly implement SEO best practices 
  • Work with digital marketing teams to drive SEO in content creation and content programming for the content and integrated communications teams 
  • Recommend changes to website architecture, internal linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 5 years of proven SEO experience, executing an enterprise level SEO Program. 
  • 5 years of experience web analytics, content marketing, and campaign management 
  • An up-to-date, working knowledge of current, past, and projected trends in the SEO industry (e.g. voice search, etc.). 
  • Experience with keyword research. 
  • Experience analyzing data and providing recommendations for SEO campaigns and the broader business. 
  • Experience with A/B testing and other testing metrics 
  • Good understanding of organic search algorithms and ranking factors. 
  • Possess advanced Excel skills and are comfortable manipulating large volumes of data 
  • Working knowledge of SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Adobe CMS technologies 
  • Experience with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Webmaster tools, Ahrefs, SEMrush, BrightEdge and DeepCrawl. 
  • Outstanding ability to think creatively, strategically, and identify and resolve problems 
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success 
  • Good time-management skills 
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Healthcare industry and/or regulated environment experience preferred
