To do that we need to make sure our key audiences - patients looking for treatment & their loved ones, professionals who refer people to treatment, and providers - know who we are and trust that we can help them in their recovery journey. We think creating compelling content on social channels is a great way to build that awareness and trust.

How you know you’re being successful:

  • Drive meaningful engagement on social channels that helps us become a household brand
  • Build social into a measurable channel where we connect increasingly more patients who need treatment to providers across the full spectrum of care.
  • Create content that our audience finds valuable and wants to share.

We’ll expect you to do things like these:

  • Oversee budgeting, campaign setup, and optimizations of organic and paid social.
  • Run our social accounts including Facebook/Instagram, Tiktok, X, LinkedIn and YouTube.
  • Use organic social media as a testing ground to find content that resonates and then boost it with paid social promotion.
  • Work with Recovery Media by building and executing the content roadmap around podcasts, written content, video content, and more.
  • Build a highly engaged audience of followers across platforms.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with agency partners for organic and paid social.
  • Track the latest trends and memes relevant to our business and use those to create posts people want to read.
  • Work with the VP of Marketing to establish and measure KPI’s for the social media strategy in line with larger brand and business goals. Identify and develop partnerships with creators and influencers who share our mission.

Work Location:

This is a Madison-based role. To be effective in this role, we would like you to work in our office in Madison on average 3 times per week.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years experience in social media management and marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to build an audience on social platforms 
  • Experience creating engaging video content for social
  • Experience using social media tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Sprinklr) and content production tools (e.g., Figma)
  • Strong attention to detail - both in numbers and in execution

Compensation:

The base salary range for this position is $65k - $80k, plus eligible benefits and equity options. Compensation may be adjusted based on tenure and experience.

Equity Options:

In addition to your cash compensation, you will receive options to buy stock in Recovery.com at a set strike price. These options will vest on a four-year schedule and present an exciting opportunity to benefit from the upside of our company’s growth.

Quarterly Bonus:

An additional 10% of base earnings is paid out quarterly when the company meets its revenue target.

Dane County Housing Stipend:

We strongly value in-person work and collaboration, so for full-time employees residing in Dane County, we offer a housing stipend of $689/month in addition to your salary ($8,268/yr; half of the Fair Market Value of a 2BR apartment in Madison according to rentdata.org).
