The Creative Services team at Direct Supply is looking for a talented and passionate Senior Web Developer to build, maintain, and enhance e-commerce and marketing websites in Magento and WordPress.

Position Summary:

In this role, you’ll collaborate with designers, digital marketers, engineers, and others to understand project goals, create a development plan, and help bring the team’s vision to life. We’re looking for someone with the experience and confidence to become the technical lead for our Marketing department and help bridge the gap between Creative and Engineering.

What You’ll Do and Impact:

  • Translate user and business needs into project requirements and deliver solutions that solve problems effectively and efficiently. 
  • Apply your front-end development skills to create clean, intuitive, and highly accessible e-commerce templates and user interfaces. 
  • Flex your WordPress skills to build and maintain effective marketing websites for our various lines of business. 
  • Use your experience to provide thoughtful input during research and planning sessions and mentor less experienced developers. 
  • Regularly install WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates to ensure our sites are up-to-date and secure.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technology-based discipline 
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role 
  • Excellent front-end development skills including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript 
  • Experience working with PHP and MySQL 
  • Proven experience building responsive websites through portfolio samples 
  • High attention to detail and thorough testing and debugging process

Additional Items of Interest:

  • Experience working with Magento 
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and site optimization for both speed and search 
  • Ability to create custom plugins and themes for WordPress 
  • Understanding of Agile Methodology and experience working in sprint cycles 
  • Experience working in a marketing/agency environment
