Short-Form Copywriter

Provide creative ideas and thinking through the use of short-form messages, headlines, and creative concepts (in words) that delivers impact and stimulates response for marketing efforts of Filament and Filament clients.


  • Bring fresh thinking and creativity to concept development 
  • Be a generator of big ideas at the brainstorm stage of a project 
  • Turn rough ideas into initial written creative concepts 
  • Translate concepts into short-form copy 
  • Help develop concept pitch presentations 
  • Collaborate with visual designers on creative development across range of deliverables 
  • Write, proofread and provide content quality control for visual design and business growth teams 
  • Provide short-form copywriting support for: ads – print and digital, collateral, websites, emails and other non-traditional content (billboards, packaging, radio/video scripts, storyboards etc.). 
  • Provide leadership in short-form content, helping grow the content team’s collective skillset
  • Provide counsel to push concepts, headlines, subject lines, visuals, etc. further Champion brand voice for clients across channels 
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams on a wide range of clients 
  • Collaborate with team members across the business on projects that align with the short form copy skillset 
  • Research client industries and backgrounds to bring out the best insights and fresh ideas
  • Push the creative envelope to create work that has never been done before 
  • Stay up to date on current trends within the ad industry 
  • Work with creative design and content teams to enhance message impact, clarity and efficiency for clients


  • Solid understanding of concept development and short-form copy in the all marketing channels, especially those demanding high impact through few words 
  • Ability to strategically adapt concept and copy to different deliverables 
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills 
  • Ability to maintain the tone and voice for various clients across channels Work both independently and collaboratively 
  • Ability to simplify the complex
