The Social Marketing Content Writer is responsible for developing strategic, integrated digital marketing and communication content across all of Cambria’s channels. This key position must be able to conceptualize and implement strategic communication frameworks, adhere to brand tone and voice, establish content themes for social/digital properties, draft corresponding copy and easily toggle between writing for trade and consumer audiences.

This role requires an impeccable, creative writer and editor with a strong background in content marketing, including digital knowledge of SEO.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage social and digital media content generation, including copywriting for all of Cambria’s social platforms, social ads and blog in long/short form writing 
  • Work closely with the Content Marketing Director on communication strategy and messaging framework development so content is aligned appropriately 
  • Partner with Graphic Designer and Art Director on social and blog visual assets 
  • Collaborate with Community Content Coordinator on social conversations and blog delivery 
  • Manage monthly content plans, writing and execution 
  • Control and execute regular blog maintenance 
  • Assist guest bloggers with social content, blog content and copy development 
  • Regularly monitor industry trends and surface innovative, impactful content ideas 
  • Performance based measurement direction on traffic and continued SEO optimization in writing 
  • Other content assignments as assigned by leadership

Requirements:

  • Proven track record designing and executing successful communication strategies, developing content for all major social platforms and blogs, and using social listening tools 
  • Exceptional traditional, social and digital writing and editing skills 
  • Digital native and able to navigate the digital space with ease 
  • Strategic to bring new ideas and tactical to accomplish daily duties 
  • Highly-organized, motivated self-starter, able effectively manage time and adapt to changing priorities 
  • Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team 
  • Capable of meeting tight deadlines 
  • Professional demeanor and ability to listen, collaborate and develop strong working relationships with marketing peers 
  • Solid organization skills and results-oriented 
  • Interest or background in interior design and remodeling preferred

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or Journalism
  • Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of direct work experience in corporate or agency setting managing digital, social media and/or marketing communications
  • Systems: Google Suite, Microsoft Office, familiarity with WordPress, Workfront, or other tools
  • Travel Requirements: Travel to other Cambria locations may be required
  • Physical Requirements: This is an office position requiring phone and computer use
