Social Media and Communications Specialist

The Communications team is hiring for a Social Media and Communications Specialist.

Do you live and breathe social media? We’re looking for an individual with experience managing all aspects of a brand’s social media strategy – from trendspotting, planning and content development to listening, engagement and analytics. We’re a passionate and dedicated team seeking an energetic individual excited about the opportunity to grow Cboe’s corporate brand, reputation and voice across our platforms through this role. Option to work hybrid: in-office and remote.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the following:

• Manage and optimize social media content calendar for product campaigns, business line updates, culture-building, evergreen content and other topics requested by internal stakeholders 
• Capitalize on new trends and best practices through innovative content and discovery of relevant opportunities for Cboe to engage 
• Conduct deep analysis of Cboe’s current social media audiences and develop custom engagement strategies for new and existing target groups
• Create and manage regular reporting that informs strategy and provides recommendations for further improving content performance 
• Proactively seek new opportunities to enhance the company’s social media presence through additional social media platforms, content enhancements, paid media or other ideas 
• Manage social media posting natively and through third-party publishing platforms

The ideal candidate has:

• 2 to 3 years’ experience in marketing, communications, public relations or related field 
• Experience directly managing social media presence on behalf of a brand/organization 
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Finance or Public Relations fields 
• Team player work cooperatively in group situations, exhibit openness to others' views, source ideas from other departments across company. 
• Experience in social media management platforms, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite.
