Motion is seeking an Account Executive focused on Social Media and Content services, who is largely responsible for the day-to-day execution and coordination of specific social media and content marketing programs and projects, on a wide array of B2B and B2C clients.

The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver and a social native at heart. This person is well-versed in social content creation, copywriting, measurement/reporting techniques and channel best practices for all key social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (X), YouTube, TikTok, SnapChat, Pinterest and LinkedIn as well as inquisitive about new emerging platforms. This position is also responsible for helping to manage, craft and produce editorially rich content (blogs, articles, short- and long-form video, and thought leadership content) with the support and guidance of the Director of Editorial/Digital Content.

Possessing skills to work alongside creative resources in-house to bring ideas to life, this candidate should be nimble and will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating on the go, all while being a quick thinker and having no fear when asked to bring innovative solutions to the table.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve and support team on all social media and content-specific accounts, programs and publishing deliverables. 
  • Oversee the creation of social and editorial content that is optimized for each social or digital platform and the intended audience. 
  • Gather research and data needed to formulate tactical plan development and recommendation for client delivery with oversight from platform strategists and the Director of Editorial/Digital Content. 
  • Present program outlines, platform strategies, content abstracts, project ideas and creative samples to clients in an effective, personable, and insightful manner. 
  • Effectively monitor and report on cross-channel brand health and brand reputation via social conversations (alongside a wider team of community management personnel) on all platforms necessary for specific account(s). 
  • Manage and track paid social promotional campaigns across necessary and applicable platforms. 
  • Support the creation of quarterly, weekly and monthly reporting of project status/results; analyze data and provide sound insights on plans and ideas for change/optimization moving forward.
  •  Support the team in all internal communications and projects as it relates to client needs. This includes directing creative to apply client feedback to deliverables. 
  • Become thoroughly knowledgeable and stay informed on relevant client industries, applicable influencers in each industry, product information, competitive landscape and overall trendspotting for proactive/reactive timely social activations. 
  • Primary party responsible for pulling data and research components needed for new business pitches. Show initiative in assuming a larger role in new business brainstorms, showing prepared ideas with strategic rationale and showcasing ability to draw on past experiences.
  • A bachelor's degree in advertising, Marketing, Public Relations, Integrated Communications or Journalism. 
  • 2+ years of social media experience required *paid experience encouraged but not necessary. 
  • Experience working on social campaigns with high-production value and a large volume of assets. 
  • Proven understanding of social media platforms in terms of content and publishing best practices. 
  • Emerging mastery of content development and written articles/thought leadership blog content. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in core MS platforms such as Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Presentation skills are a must, with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication. 
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 
  • Familiar with social media reporting and the ability to pull and analyze results with the support of the VP of social media. 
  • Familiarity with content development best practices and emerging understanding of SEO basics, metadata and AP Style writing. 
  • Excellent project management and organization skills. 
  • Collaborative approach/attitude to internal and external relationships, with the ability to work successfully with teams on multiple projects under tight deadlines. 
  • Experience using Sprout Social as a publishing and reporting tool encouraged but not necessary. 
  • Proven leadership ability. 
  • Demonstrates initiative and desire to expand personal knowledge to better client practices. 
  • Assume a larger role in new business brainstorming, showing prepared ideas with strategic rationale and showcase ability to draw on past experiences.
