Zizzo Group, Milwaukee's premier digital marketing agency, is seeking a highly skilled and creative Social Media and Content Specialist with a strong focus on copywriting to join our dynamic team. As a Social Media and Content Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing overall social media and content strategies that drive engagement, brand awareness, and lead generation for our clients. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver targeted strategies and high-quality content across various digital platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about social media, content marketing, possesses exceptional content development skills, and thrives in a fast-paced agency environment.


  • Build, manage and execute digital and social media strategies that build brand awareness, generate inbound traffic, increase engagement and ensure current social media strategy aligns with client’s goals and objectives
  • Create engaging digital and social media content, including text, images, and videos, that aligns with brand messaging and campaign goals.
  • Develop and implement a content calendar that aligns with client’s digital and social media strategy and marketing goals.
  • Create, publish, and share content across various platforms and digital marketing channels
  • Collaborate with other departments including the creative team to ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop and execute content marketing initiatives.
  • Write high-quality and engaging blog articles based on interviews, research, and current industry trends
  • Stay on top of current digital and social media trends, insights from content, and best practices of the ever-changing social media world
  • Generate and follow a social media content calendar § Track, measure, analyze and report on campaign results


  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube) and how they can be deployed.
  • A passion for social media and a keen eye for creative content. 
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their objectives, gather feedback, and ensure content meets their expectations and aligns with their brand identity.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to create compelling content for various audiences.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful social media campaigns.
  • Team player, with the confidence to take the lead and guide other departments when necessary
  • Good technical understanding and can learn new digital marketing software quickly
  • Excellent collaboration skills, to work seamlessly across both creative and digital teams
  • Must be positive, fast-paced, and flexible
  • 2-3 years of proven and demonstrable working experience in social media marketing and acting in a leadership role as a Social Media Specialist or similar role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in advertising, marketing, communications or related field 
  • Prior agency experience preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in an independent, flexible in-office/remote hybrid work setting along with being able to collaborate creative, account services and leadership teams
  • Excellent consulting, presentation, and communication skills 
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the willingness to assist in creating longer and shorter form content, if needed
  • Experience with social analytics, social listening, and scheduling tools
  • High attention to detail with solid organizational skills
  • Desire to learn, collaborate and contribute
  • Positive attitude and client-oriented mindset, even in the face of adversity
