Our marketing team is growing, and we’re proud to present the new Marketing and Social Media Coordinator role. If you’re passionate about good food, having fun, and capturing new and exciting things happening around Milwaukee, we want to hear from you. This team member will be an integral part of the marketing team and will assist in creating innovative social content and consistency within our culture and brands. The list below shares a glimpse of what the Marketing and Social Media Coordinator will regularly complete with guidance and support from the Director of Marketing and Digital Marketing Specialist.

SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING:

  • Oversee/manage creative content development, planning & execution
  • Schedule content on all platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin, TikTok, Google My Business)
  • Manage multiple social media brands at a time
  • Create sazzy reels/Tik Toks that grab your attention
  • Engage with social audiences and vendors
  • Stay on top of trends and implement market research into social media strategy
  • Monitor and analyze what’s working and what’s not 

DIGITAL ASSET MANAGEMENT:

  • Assist the Digital Marketing Specialist in managing our DAM system (Canto)
  • Organize, upload, and tag SHG assets
  • Assist in rolling out and training to all SHG team members 

GENERAL:

  • Design digital updates/announcements for internal communications
  • Photography stop by events on some nights and weekends to capture content
  • Provide support to all SHG divisions as need
  • Other duties as assigned

Flexible Work Schedule:

  • This role is an hourly position with an average of 30 hours per week, working Monday - Friday between 8:00 - 5:00 pm. 
  • There will be flexibility in the schedule when working onsite at events on nights and weekends. 

Requirements:

Social Media Savvy:

  • Must have solid knowledge of: Facebook/TikTok/Instagram/Linkedin
  • Passion for connecting with people and sharing who we are, what we do, and why we do it
  • Keep up with trends and implement in a timely fashion with our social media strategy
  • Quick learner with a thirst for knowledge
  • Creative individual with a fun and positive attitude (likes to think outside of the box)
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to create compelling, clear and concise content in line with our brand
  • Basic photography skills and understanding of what makes a good photo
  • Computer savvy: Microsoft Office, Google Docs/Sheets
  • Able to work independently and in a team
  • Lover of Milwaukee 

Bonus Points:

  • Graphic Design background is a major plus: Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Background in hospitality industry 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Travel by automobile on occasion to view sites, festivals, events, attend meetings, etc.
  • Stand or sit up to 8 hours at a time
  • Consistent timely attendance
  • Communicate verbally and in writing in English
  • Operate a computer to access the internet and work within a variety of software program

Starting wage $19 per hour.
