Better Business Bureau Serving Wisconsin is searching for an experienced and creative Social Media and Marketing Specialist to plan, develop and implement a successful social media strategy to advance recognition of the BBB brand in Wisconsin. You will represent the organization and work with the marketing team to increase visibility of BBB and engagement with BBB services within the local, Wisconsin community. You need to be self-motivated, enthusiastic, detail-oriented and tech-savvy to take on this exciting role. This position requires someone equipped with a positive attitude, readiness to be a team player and a passion for learning new skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and execute BBB Serving Wisconsin social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification 
  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or links) that builds meaningful connections with key audiences 
  • Manage all social media content and ensure consistency and compliance with brand standards 
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media and digital marketing best practices and technologies 
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and make adjustments based on the information 
  • Graphic design, image and marketing material creation for both digital and print media Manage and schedule all external email communications (to both WI consumer and business email lists) 
  • Find, analyze and report key statistics relating to marketing strategy 
  • Update locally controlled pages of bbb.org and manage local SEO efforts 
  • Work alongside Community Outreach and Events Coordinator with event planning and promotion and work seamlessly with other departments and regional staff 
  • Manage various digital marketing platforms, including but not limited to Google Ads

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or a related field 
  • Preferred 1-2 years experience social media management 
  • Outstanding writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills 
  • Friendly, enthusiastic, positive attitude with a customer service mindset 
  • Strong knowledge and experience managing social media platforms 
  • Strong knowledge and experience with G Suite products, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite, email communications platform(s) (such as Constant Contact) 
  • Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels 
  • Adequate knowledge of web design, web development and ability to update website through CMS 
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time 
  • Ability to find creative solutions to problems and bring on new ideas

Hourly pay rate dependent on experience.
