Social Media Associate

You will serve as the social “voice” of JUF, act as community manager and brand advocate, and will be responsible for JUF’s social media pages and how JUF’s brand is represented across social media platforms and in the marketplace. You will spend most of your time interacting with the digital community, growing JUF’s presence on social media, and creating and successfully sharing content to meet community engagement needs.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Implement social media and communication campaigns 
  • Work with Marketing/Communications team and across departments to create engaging content for JUF’s social media sites, and advise on content, tone, voice and KPIs across all divisions 
  • Respond to community members in a timely manner 
  • Monitor, track and report on feedback and KPIs 
  • Organize and manage social events to boost brand awareness and drive fundraising 
  • Liaise across the organization as necessary, engaging IT, Campaign, Program departments 
  • Build relationships with customers, industry professionals, affiliated agencies and other non-profits 
  • Stay up to date on digital technology trends and advise team on updates, new tools or tactics when appropriate 
  • Help ensure the articulation of the JUF brand story across multiple constituencies and media 
  • Directly engage with managers of social properties across the organization, sharing and driving content and calendar 
  • Support JUF Campaign and mandatory campaign-related activities on an ongoing basis.

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant field. 
  • 1-3 years’ work experience as a community manager or similar role is preferred. 
  • Knowledge of Jewish issues and Israel is preferred. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making 
  • Ability to identify and track relevant community KPIs, as well as interpret and analyze metrics. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, presenting, and written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Hands-on experience with social media management including Facebook Business Manager. 
  • Attention to detail, critical-thinker and problem-solver. 
  • A great attitude and a desire to affect change. 
  • Team player attitude; enjoys collaboration and a stimulating pace.
