Aurora Health Care is looking for a full-time Social Media Content Specialist, Sr., hiring through our temp agency, DCI.

This position will create, source and manage multimedia content for Aurora's system-wide social media program in alignment with the corporate social media strategy and platform-specific strategies.

The position will also actively identify conversation trends and topics of interest to inform and direct content, and serve as a relationship builder for the social media team with key Aurora clinicians and medical service line stakeholders.

The position will report to the Director, Public Relations and Social Media.

  • Collaborate with Social Media Senior Advisor to develop and execute focused content strategies that support business initiatives.
  • Produce original multimedia content (video, photo, streaming video, infographics, live chats, etc.) for social media use.
  • Assist in the management of a large internal network of Aurora clinicians and service line stakeholders who supply content for social media blog articles.
  • Source and manage blog content authored by Aurora clinicians; 
  • Write/Re-write blog articles as needed; edit blog articles for grammatical accuracy, readability and creativity; coordinate with graphic design team for appropriate visuals to accompany blog articles; create catchy Facebook, Twitter and Google+ posts to promote blog articles.
  • Assist with other forms of content distribution to external sites to expand our reach and audience.
  • Research trending online conversations and topics of interest for opportunities to produce topical content.
  • Act as an internal champion and evangelist for our social media program across the organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Media, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, English, Journalism or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in multimedia content production for social media (writing, video, images, streaming).
  • Creative thinker with entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented.
  • Strong writer with excellent grammatical and editing abilities.
  • Social media content production for platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google+ and blog platforms (ideally Wordpress).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of employees, management, executives, and other organizations.
  • Ability to operate independently in a self-directed, deadline-driven, rapidly changing team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) or similar products.
  • Social listening/analytics experience is a plus.
  • Facebook and Twitter advertising experience is a plus.
