Metcalfe’s Social Media Coordinator will act as the social media lead, generating ideas and creating content to share on a consistent basis. The position will also be responsible for concepting and writing the bi-weekly eNewsletter. Working closely with the Marketing Director, Graphic Designer-Brand and Graphic Designer-Promotions, the Social Media Coordinator will also assist with promotions and brand campaigns as well as coming up with new ways to drive engagement in both social and in-store spaces.

Metcalfe's Social Media Manager will be responsible for Metcalfe’s and Brat Fest:

  • Social Media
  • Enewsletters
  • Website
  • Copywriting (collateral, advertising, store signage, press releases, etc…)
  • Other projects as needed

Desired Qualifications:

  • Attention to detail
  • Creativity and forward-thinking ideas a must.
  • Excellent written communication and proofreading skills
  • Demonstrates winning social customer service techniques and ability to analyze, review and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
  • Project management and organization skills required
  • Degree in Marketing or Mass Communication preferred
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience required (retail a plus)
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of WordPress, Adobe, and social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Yelp, Snapchat, YouTube, and ability to quickly and easily learn about emerging technology.
  • Possesses keen ability to identify potential negative or crisis situations and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues.
  • Able to adapt to changing retail needs and juggle multiple projects with a can-do attitude.
